Dashboard

Read the Subrise Dashboard: revenue, new subscriptions and customers, status counts, pause and cancellation reasons, and top products.

The Dashboard is the first page you see when you open Subrise. It shows how your subscription business is doing and links to the places you visit most.

The Dashboard has four tabs: Overview, Analytics, Reports and Report history. This page covers the first two. See Reports for the other two.

Note

Dashboard numbers come from a snapshot Subrise refreshes once a day. A subscription created or cancelled today can take up to a day to show in the counts.

Overview tab

The Overview tab gives you the headline numbers at a glance.

Setup guide

While you are still setting up, a Setup guide card lists the remaining tasks, with a button for each. Mark a task as done to tick it off. The guide disappears once every task is done or you hide it. See Getting started.

Performance

The Performance card shows four numbers. Use the period menu in the card to choose This month, This year or All time. This month and This year count from the 1st of the month or year up to today.

MetricWhat it counts
Net revenueThe value of the products in your subscription orders, after discounts, for the chosen period.
New subscriptionsSubscriptions created in the chosen period.
New customersCustomers who started a subscription in the chosen period, each counted once.
Total salesThe full value of every subscription order, including shipping and taxes. Always All time.

Subscriptions chart

The Subscriptions chart plots your total, new and cancelled subscriptions over time. It covers the past four weeks when the period is This month, and the past year otherwise.

Subscriptions by status

Subscriptions by status counts every subscription by status, for all time: Active, Upcoming, Prepaid, Paused, Expired, Cancelled and Failed charges. Click a status to open that view of the Subscriptions list.

Quick access

Quick access links to the pages you use most, each with a live count:

  • View subscriptions: your total sales this month, including shipping and taxes.
  • Manage reports: how many reports you have scheduled.
  • Edit customer emails: how many customer emails are turned on.
  • Manage plans: how many plans you have.
  • View add-ons: add-ons on active subscriptions.
  • Edit theme widgets: opens your themes in Shopify.

The title bar also has Create plan and View subscriptions buttons on every Dashboard tab.

Analytics tab

The Analytics tab repeats the Performance card and the Subscriptions chart, then adds three breakdowns for the same period:

  • Pause reasons: subscriptions paused in the period, grouped by the reason the customer chose.
  • Cancellation reasons: subscriptions cancelled in the period, grouped by reason.
  • Top products: the products with the most subscription revenue in the period.

Changes made in the admin show as Paused from the admin or Cancelled from the admin. A subscription Subrise pauses or cancels after too many failed payments shows as After failed payments. A pause or cancellation without a reason shows as No reason given.

Tip

Until you add reasons for customers to choose from, the reason lists show only admin changes, After failed payments and No reason given. Set them up under Settings > Customer portal > Pause and cancel reasons. See Customer portal settings.

If data doesn't load

If a card can't load, the Overview tab shows Some dashboard data didn't load, and the Analytics tab shows Some analytics didn't load. Reload the page. If it keeps happening, contact support.
