The subscription page

Find your way around a subscription in Subrise: its products, upcoming orders, payment history, activity log, customer, plan and discounts.

Every subscription has its own page in Subrise. It's laid out like an order in Shopify: the main column has the details in tabs, and the side column has the customer, the plan and the discounts.

To open a subscription, click its row on the Subscriptions list. The back arrow returns you to the list with your filters as you left them.

Title bar actions

The title bar shows the subscription number and its actions, depending on the status:

  • Pause, or Edit pause schedule if a pause is scheduled, on active subscriptions.
  • Resume on paused and cancelled subscriptions.
  • Cancel subscription on active and paused subscriptions.

Under the title you see the status and the date the subscription was created. See Skip, pause and cancel for how each action works.

Tabs

Overview

  • Products: the recurring products, with quantity, price and total. If a plan gives a discount from a later order, the price shows it, for example "10% off from the 2nd order".
  • Add-ons: extra products billed with the subscription for a set number of orders, with how many orders they're on and how many remain.
  • Order note and Order attributes: the note and custom fields copied to each new order.

See Edit a subscription for what you can change here.

Upcoming orders

The next three orders and their payment dates, with Reschedule, Skip next order and Run billing now. See Skip, pause and cancel.

Payment history

Every charge on the subscription, newest first, with the date, amount and status:

  • Paid charges link to the order in Shopify with View order.
  • Failed charges show the reason under the badge, for example a declined card.

See Billing and failed payments.

Activity

A log of everything that happened to the subscription, in plain words: who did it, what changed and when. For example "Paused by customer", "Product removed" or "Subscription paused email sent".

The User column shows who acted: you in the admin, the customer, an automation or Subrise itself. Changes you confirmed from a Shopify Sidekick suggestion show a Sidekick badge. Click an email event to preview the email the customer got.

Side column

Customer

  • The customer's name, linked to their Shopify customer page, and their email with a copy button.
  • Customer portal link: the link that opens this subscription in the customer portal, with a copy button. See How customers get in.
  • Shipping address and Shipping rate, with Manage and Edit.
  • Payment method: the card brand, last four digits and expiry, with Manage.
  • Billing address, when the payment method has one.

Plan

The Next order date, the Billing and Delivery frequency, and Upcoming payments: Unlimited, the number remaining, or Fully paid. Edit changes the schedule by hand and Change plan moves the subscription to another plan.

Discounts

Discounts on the subscription, with Add and a remove button on each.

Prepaid and gift orders

A prepaid or gift subscription bought from a Multi-order option opens as a Prepaid order. A Prepaid, single charge option without Multi-order opens as a normal subscription page. A prepaid order's page is simpler:

  • Prepaid products shows the products in each delivery and how many deliveries are done. You can't edit them, because they come from the original order, and prepaid orders don't support add-ons.
  • Upcoming shipments has Reschedule, which moves every remaining shipment by the same amount, and Force create order, which creates the next shipment's order now.
  • Prepaid details shows the next shipment, the delivery frequency, the billing (for example Single charge (prepaid)) and the shipments remaining.

You can still pause, resume, change the shipping address and edit the order note of a prepaid order.
