Add products to a plan

Put products, single variants or whole collections on a plan, from the plan itself or from the Products page.

Customers can only subscribe to a product once it's on a plan. You can add products from the plan, or start from a product on the Products page. Adding and removing products saves right away, separately from the rest of the plan.

From the plan

  1. Go to Plans and open the plan. If you just created it, you're already there.
  2. Scroll to the Products section and click Add product.
  3. In Add products, search for products and check the products or single variants you want.
  4. Click Add.

The section lists each product with the number of its Variants on plan. To take a product off, click the delete button on its row.

Add a whole collection

Adding a collection puts all of its products on the plan.

  1. In the plan's Products section, switch the view from Products to Collections.
  2. Click Add collection.
  3. In Add collections, search and check one or more collections.
  4. Click Add.

Subrise keeps the plan in step with the collection. When products join or leave the collection in Shopify, Subrise adds them to the plan or takes them off. Bundle products in a collection are skipped.

A product that's on a plan through a collection is removed by removing the collection. You can't remove it on its own.

From the Products page

The Products page lists your products with their plans, subscribers, add-ons, variants, inventory and price. Choose On a plan or All products to filter the list.

These are your store's products in Shopify. To add a new product, create it in Shopify admin under Products. It shows up in Subrise on its own.

  1. Go to Products and click a product.
  2. Under Subscription plans, see which plans the product is on. Products on a plan through a collection show Via a collection.
  3. Choose a plan in Add to plan and click Add.
  4. Click Done.

Bundles

Bundle products don't go on plans this way. You set up subscriptions for a bundle on the bundle's own page. See Bundle subscriptions.

Products that are subscription-only

To sell a product only on subscription, set it in Shopify to sell only with its purchase options. The Subrise widget then hides the one-time purchase choice and selects the subscription. See Add the product widget.
